OVERVIEW: The Monarch WX-D Pants are designed for snow and mountain biking, or commuting where a mid-weight, multi-purpose pant would be ideal in cool or cold weather conditions. FrosTech+ material throughout offers excellent protection from light rain/snow and wind chill and is another exceptional performance fabric in Pactimo's proprietary WX-D weather defense category.
WHY MONARCH? We named this pants for Colorado's 11,312 foot Monarch Pass and the gorgeous Monarch Crest Trail where mountain bikers will encounter a variety of singletrack, doubletrack and fire roads with plenty of rocky and loose gravel challenges. Since the Monarch Crest is a long point to point ride along the Continental Divide, at very high altitudes, riders must always be prepared for extreme weather including rain and snow, even during summer months.
FABRICS & CONSTRUCTION: The Monarch WX-D Pants FrosTech+ fabric has a comfortable woven back, is extremely breathable while also providing an optimal performance fit with exceptional wind and water resistant characteristics. Tall, tapered ankle openings make for easy on-off and prevent interference when pedaling. Belt loops and an internal, button cinching system allow for an optimal fit. Also includes two front and two rear pockets with waterproof zippers.
